Wilson County  Richard Alexander Mount was born on 28 Sep 1828 in Cainsville, Wilson Co., TN. He died on 11 Jul 1920 in Fredonia, Wilson Co., KS. Richard married Elizabeth Jane Hite on 10 Aug 1850 in Wilson Co., TN. Elizabeth was born on 2 Feb 1832. She died on 13 Feb 1872 in Fredonia, Wilson Co., KS. Oldest daughter of John Stone and Mary Carolyn (Heard) Hite of Bedford Co., Tennessee Richard moved with his older brother, Amos Marion Mount, to Mt. Comfort near Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas in 1850. Just prior to 1862, he moved his family to Kansas to escape the ruin of war.
