All are Decedents of George Mount from New Jersey

Gibson County  Alfred Mount was born in 1802 in Rockingham Co., NC. He died in 1867 in Gibson Co., TN. Son of William and Elizabeth (Jones) Mount of Wilson County, Tennessee. He moved with his parents to Wilson County, when he was a small child. Alfred married Mary Thomas on 18 Sep 1821 in Wilson Co., TN. Mary was born on 12 Sep 1801 in Rockingham Co., NC. She died in 1871 in Gibson Co., TN. She was buried in Patterson Cemetery, Gibson Co., TN. Alfred is buried near the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church located on his farm in the 17th Civil District of Gibson County. Mary is buried in the Patterson Cemetery, about one mile east of the old home place.

Jefferson County  Humphrey Mount was born about 1778 in NC. He died on 15 May 1858 in Jefferson Co., TN. Humphrey married (1) Margaret about 1796 in NC. Margaret was born in 1771. She died on 2 Aug 1840. She died at 10 o'clock in the evening at the age of 59 years. son of John and Susannah (...) Mount of Rockingham County, North Carolina. He died at 2o'clock in the afternoon at his home in Jefferson County, Tennessee.

McMinn-Wise County Thomas Mount was born about 1768 in Halifax Co., VA. He died about 1835 in McMinn Co., TN. son of John and Susannah (Matthews) Mount. Rockingham County, North Carolina Will Book A page 318: Will of John Walker, written Mar 13, 1820 and probated Feb Term of 1821

Nodaway County  John Mount was born in 1748 in Horse Pen Ck, Lunenburg, VA. He died in 1821 in TN. John married Hannah Harris .

Wilson County   Matthias Mount was born in Jan 1750 in Old Lunenburg Co., VA. He died on 11 Dec 1834 in Rockingham Co., NC. Oct 22, 1782: Matthias Mount, Sr., received a land grant from the State of North Carolina for 400 acres on the Bold Run Creek waters of the Great Rock house Creek, bounded by Benjamin Haggard and Thomas Lloyd. His brother, John Mount, purchased a 200 acre plot across the Great Rock house Creek to the south. This grant was in the Rockingham District of Guilford County, North Carolina. The Rockingham District became a county in 1785.
